Question

[edit]

Shouldn't a "cabal" conspiracy section mention this is a dog whistle, part of the history of antisemitic conspiracy, with blood libel and Nazi propaganda? 66.186.212.131 (talk) 14:27, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

At some point, what might've once been a dogwhistle transitions into common parlance. For example the word crook (referring to the shape of a criminal's nose) could be considered an antisemitic dogwhistle, but it would be disingenuous to suggest that people using the word these days are antisemitic. Likewise virtually nobody knows that the word "cabal" is related to the word "Kabbalah", and to inform readers that people who use the word are secret antisemites would be misleading. 2406:3100:1018:2:5A:0:1299:3D35 (talk) 05:51, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
